Scarlett Gowing's home for Elle Decoration (UK) and NYA RUM

A house story of the most epic scale, this Victorian Gothic mansion in East Sussex was given a complete renovation by interior designer Scarlett Gowing, photographed by Paul Raeside for Elle Decoration initially, followed by Sweden’s NYA RUM (new room). A project not for the faint hearted, the hall and staircase alone would put the decoration heeby jeebies into most people. It’s always special to see a story given the space for the many many photographs captured of the many many rooms, which considering this took two visits to accomplish, makes it all worthwhile.
