This Chevrolet El Camino got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1959 Chevrolet El Camino was acquired by the seller in 1999 and subsequently underwent a mechanical refurbishment and modifications. A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was installed along with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a Currie Enterprises 9″ rear end with a Detroit Truetrac differential. The truck is finished in two-tone black and pewter over black upholstery, and additional modifications include Billet Specialities 18″ and 20″ wheels, Wilwood brakes, AccuAir air suspension, power steering, an aluminum radiator, a stainless-steel exhaust system, AutoMeter instrumentation, Vintage Air climate control, a Pioneer head unit, and a custom audio system. This modified El Camino is now offered with spare parts, a car cover, refurbishment records, components manuals, and a California title in the seller’s name.

The truck was reportedly refinished under prior ownership in two-tone pewter and black with red pinstriping. Additional exterior details include chrome bumpers and trim, dual side mirrors, “cat’s eye” taillights, a curved windshield and back glass, and a rubberized DuraLiner DuraSport bedliner mat. Paint chips are visible on the front upper valance, and the seller notes that various blemishes have been touched up under current ownership.

The car is equipped with a Classic Performance Products front-end kit and power steering, and the suspension has been modified using Hotchkis upper trailing arms and an AccuAir air-suspension kit with the compressors and air tank located underneath the bed. Braking is provided by Wilwood calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors with a Wilwood master cylinder, and an E-Stopp electric emergency brake has been installed.

A Billet Specialties steering wheel is attached to a tilting Ididit steering column and fronts AutoMeter instrumentation consisting of a tachometer and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The seller states that the speedometer and odometer do not work. The digital odometer shows 2k miles, and the seller estimates having driven the car 5k miles. True chassis mileage is unknown.
