Default Cracked drilled rotors

Took this picture a few years ago during a track weekend at Road America. This is why one shouldn't use drilled rotors when running hard on a track. On the street is one thing, but on a track with repeated deceleration from high speeds is another.

One of many good examples of why NOT to use drilled rotors on the track.

Drilled rotors sure do look nice, however if you're running hard on the track it's tough to beat the functionality and cost of a good blank rotor.

Yep it is! Depending on how aggressive its driven and hp available cars can hit 150+ in the straights and need to get down to as low as 40-ish in turn 5. A Vette going into T5 with 'some' rotor glow going on lol...

There are a couple hard braking zones coming down from very high speeds on the straights that seem like it would really put the brake cooling system to the test!

Seen that picture of the glowing Z06 before and love it!

I was just out on the new Thompson speedway course in CT last weekend, and turn one is like some of the turns at RA. You have to scrub off almost 100mph. Big time fade at the end of that stop, and no time for them to recover. I can only imagine having multiple corners like that, which RA has. Time for some better pads and cooling ducts.
