PART OF INSTRUCTIONS NOTECARD BELOW
Loimukivi Interactive Sauna Experience has been created to mimic real life sauna.
Naturally you cannot experience the heat, but I have done my best to show you a glimpse of Finnish Sauna.
***SETTING UP***
For absolute minimum you need a kiuas, some firewood and a kiulu rezzed to enjoy sauna.
But most also like a thermometer and a vasta readily available (included in this kit).
A sauna usually has also wooden benches (Lauteet) to sit on, but I have not included those as they need to be the correct size and style to your sauna building. They are available separately, so you can choose best fit.
Put the firewood directly in front of the kiuas and the bucket facing kiuas, at water-throwing distance.
The thermometer should be at your head height when you sit on topmost seat.
There should be a water-source next to the vasta, as it is traditionally dipped in water before use.
But this is just a decoration thing.
BTW: All the prim parts are copy&modifiable, so you can make your own versions. DISCLAIMER: take a copy before you begin editing!
I have included two linen sheet textures, if you wish to use them on your lauteet.
More laudeliina textures available separately.
Saavi (water tub), Pesuvati (washing bowl) and Vesikauha (water scoop) are decoration pieces and sold separately (see related items).
I have also various little interactive pieces available for your sauna (see related items). You can test the interactive sauna at my hangout on http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Heaton/9/27/901
***USING SAUNA***
---Step 1---
Heat the sauna up! Sit on the firewood and the scripts do the rest. You can speed the heating process a bit by throwing water on kiuas every now and then. Real life wooden sauna takes about 1 to 2 hours to properly heat up. This SL version only takes about 10-15 minutes, though.
You can follow the heating by looking at your thermometer or you can turn the local chat on the thermometer by clicking it.
The optimal bathing temperature is 80 degrees Celsius (176 F). This is because 70 (158 F) does not open your pores properly and 90 (194 F) can lead to dehydration.
---Step 2---
Bathe. Enjoy!
Sit on the towel attached to the kiulu (bucket). Wait and the bucket gives you a ladle. Touch the bucket to throw water.
---Step 3---
The kiuas cools down on it´s own. But you can make cooling faster by opening the kiuas hatch. Note: on real life this causes a fire hazard, so kiuas with open hatch may never be left unwatched.
Each 3 states of cooling has it´s own animated texture.
You may insert more wood at any point to start everything over.
