The 28-year-old announced the news on social media, with an image of him and Black cradling their newborn son.

The couple's four-year-old son Robert - known as Robbie - was also in the shot but had his back to the camera.

"PHOENIX ROSE BLACK-DALEY. Our family has grown in the last week, we welcomed Phoenix to the world on 28/03/23 and he's just perfect," Daley wrote in the caption.

Words of congratulations for the couple immediately flooded in, including from Daley's former diving partner, Matty Lee, who he won a gold medal with at the Tokyo Olympics for the synchronised 10m diving event.
