Kamov Ka-50

The Kamov Ka-50 "Black Shark" (NATO reporting name: Hokum A) is a Russian single-seat attack helicopter with the distinctive coaxial rotor system of the Kamov design bureau. It was designed in the 1980s and adopted for service in the Russian army in 1995. It is manufactured by the Progress company in Arsenyev. It is used as a heavily armed scout helicopter.

  User Manual
  
  To pitch, roll, and yaw, use TG, FH, and RY respectively
  E toggles the landing gear
  Leftshift turns on the engine
  V Increases collective, B decreases
  Tilde enables auto-stabilization
  Tap C to fire the cannon
  1 and 2 fire each missile
  LeftAlt switches between cockpit and gun camera
  3 and 4 enable slow-tracking mode for missile 1 and 2 respectively, use it against slow targets
  
  

  Operation Specifics; Important!

  
  
  Takeoff
  Turn on the engine and increase collective.
  
  Flight
  Flight is fairly stable, but requires attention. The rotors should be quite durable so don't worry about pulling extreme maneuvers. That being said, they can break if you dive and pull up harshly. The missiles greatly impede flight performance when being carried.
  
  The autopilot has a quirk. Roll and pitch are stabilized, however, trying to pitch changes the angle the aircraft corrects to, meaning you can stay tilted forward without touching anything.
  
  Weaponry
  The Advanced Low Flying Cruise Missiles (ALFCMS) are autonomous and self guided. Launch at a target within 30 degrees of your vision and hope they hit. They are easily confused by ground clutter, and struggle to hit slow targets if you don't use their alternate mode.
  
  The cannon can be unreliable, especially when flying sideways. Do not spam.
  
  Landing
  Landing is fairly easy, lose some airspeed and slowly descend. If it's too difficult, turn on the autopilot.

  
  

  Creators Note:
  A complete remake of my Ka-50 from two years ago. I applied an immense amount of new knowledge to this one, and it turned out far better than its predecessor. Expect more helicopters in the future.
