Honda Brio facelift debuts in Indonesia: What’s special

The Elevate is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine which puts out 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual and a CVT Automatic. There will be no diesel engine on offer. However, at a later date, Honda might introduce a strong hybrid variant.

Japanese Automaker Honda Cars have unveiled the facelifted Honda Brio hatchback in Indonesia. The updated Brio gets a newly designed front and rear end and is based on Honda’s new design language. The price for the new Brio starts from IDR 192 m (about Rs 9.5 lakh at current exchange rates).
The new Brio gets a large grille with a thick chrome bar and sweptback headlamps.
The hatchback gets a re-designed front bumper with new housing for the fog lamps. At the rear, the car gets new tail lamp clusters and a roof spoiler.

There’s also an RS version of the Brio. The RS version features a piano black grille, blacked-out wheels and ORVMs, LED headlamps and diffusers to make it look more sporty.
The dashboard layout of the new Brio remains the same. The hatchback gets a 7-inch infotainment system, an analogue cluster with a small digital MID screen, a 3-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, and the front seats now get adjustable headrests.

Talking about the powertrain details, the updated Brio will be powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine which puts out 89 bhp of power and 110 Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a CVT automatic only.

In other news, Honda Cars India is getting ready to introduce the Honda Elevate SUV to the Indian market. The Elevate will make its global debut on June 6th 2023 and is expected to go on sale later this year. When launched, the SUV will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
