It was confirmed on Raw last night that Shawn Michaels will corner Triple H and that Kane will corner onscreen brother The Undertaker at Super Showdown in Australia on October 6.
Michaels had previously been rumored to serve as the guest referee for the bout, and was even advertised as such in local advertising. Plans have seemingly now changed since Michaels has agreed to come out of retirement and wrestle at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
It is expected that Michaels and Kane will get involved in the Undertaker-HHH match, setting up a tag confrontation between DX and the Brother of Destruction at Crown Jewel.
Kane hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since winning the election to become mayor of Knox County, Tennessee last month, though, he did note in an interview that he would still make WWE appearances after he was elected.
Michaels has not wrestled since his famous retirement match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania in 2010. Crown Jewel is expected to be the first of at least two matches, with reports indicating that he will also lace up the boots at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
