LOST TEMPLE

DEEP IN THE JUNGLE

"In the middle of nowhere, deep in forbidden mountains and rainy forests, hidden in the secret river passage the lost temple stays surrounded by tropical waterfalls and ancient obelisks..."

This concept environment was made as a final work for the CGMA environmental design course (tutor — Aaron Limonick, Naughty Dog). I was inspired by Inca temples and Peruvian jungles with waterfalls and foggy forests. This artwork was painted in Adobe Photoshop combined with my personal photo references.

There are some visual development sketches I made to create my environment. I wanted to understand the nature of stones and vegetation in my composition. I've chosen willow as a basic tree for this environment. Architectural details (temple and obelisks) are based on Inca buildings tradition.
