Bianchi Vittoria - Information?
I recently picked up a vintage Bianchi on Craigslist, but googling hasn't gotten me too much information. One of the stickers on it says "Vittoria" but even with that name I can't find much. It has Shimano 600 components. I swapped out the wheelset the other night and it rides like an absolute dream now. But I was just wondering if anyone had more info on the model. I also couldn't find/didn't know where to look for a serial number.
Some additional info is that is has Formula One Columbus tubing. If anyone has any idea what it's worth, that would be cool to know too, but I'm much more interested in finding out more about the model. It fits perfectly so I have next to no interest in reselling it.
Also, the top photo is the wheelset prior to me swapping it out.

Nice looking Bianchi. The Vittoria was a upper end model between the Trofeo and Giro in '85 and '86 and was festooned with Campagnolo Victory group and Mavic wheels. The Formula One tubing on this one leads em to think it is an '86.
In the first shop I worked in we had one or two of these left over and we took the Victory RD, and shifters off and put Ultegra RD and 7spd shifters on with a shimano FW so they would shift better on test rides. If this came with all 600 that may lead to some confusion in finding information online.
Here is a link to a Vittoria discussed back in August. https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...anchi+Vittoria

The components appear to be 600 Ultegra which came out in 1988. However, the tubeset for that era would have been Formula II, so the components are replacements. The serial number should be on the underside of the bottom bracket shell, most likely in two sections, one on each side of the shell.

I have a formula one frame that I built up in 88 after buying it on sale in a shop in Calgary in the fall of 87. It is possible that this frame was also sold as a frameset and built up by the original owner at a later date.
By the way I love the Chrome fork and Chain stay on your bike, The decals are the same as on my bike.

Very nice Bianchi bike like callig I like the chrome fork.
Every time I look at old Bianchi bike they tend to have the same color as mine...kind of cool. My Bianchy is a Trofeo from 1996.

Thanks! And T-Mar, I could have sworn I checked the bottom of the BB and I didn't see one. Maybe I just didn't look well enough.
