This was easier to install that I thought. If you have a faced cabinet (opening is slightly smaller than the cabinet behind it, you will need a shim for the piece that attaches to the wall. If the shim is not included, you can use a 1/4 inch wood slat. I used my own shim then requested a shim from cabinetparts. I was surprised they did not have one, but they directed me to Kessebohmer. Kessebohmer was very quick to send me a shim (free). They actually sent 2 & I only needed one. A very nice inclusion was the soft closes for the 2 shelves. I did not realize they came with the purchase. I would have paid extra to get them. My shelves do not reach all the way into the blind corner, but that is a limitation of the width of my door opening - which limits how long the swing arms can be. The four sided block on the bottom of each shelf is genius. It gives you four options for limiting swing out distance so as not to hit your cabinet opening. Be sure to get the left hand unit if the shelves swing out to the left & the right hand if the shelves swing out to the right. This seems backwards to me since the LH shelf swings into the right blind corner. Ask to make sure. Again, a fantastic product!

I absolutely love my new shelf. However, the directions that came with it were pretty awful and the video on your website doesn’t match the directions so the video was no help either. The only way I was able to install it was by finding a third-party YouTube video that explained it perfectly. Having said all that I love Schell. It was very easy to install once I watch the third-party video. You guys really need to fix the video on your website.

This is a great product for a blind corner. Works very well. Two major issues though. The kit does not include the shim that is needed for a faceframe cabinet and the install screws are also not included. Web site page says nothing about that. Also, the install video needs updating. The kit only includes a paper template that is almost impossible to understand. I managed to figure it and it all worked well in the end. But I had to call and order the shim and screws.

The parts arrived early and although one component was broken, customer service responded quickly and is having a replacement part sent.The installation template is different from the one shown in the installation video and it took a lot of interpretation of symbols to figure it out. Be sure the location of the mounting of the pole doesn't interfere with the hinges and is set far enough away from the opening to be able to mount the wall support bracket. The template doesn't take either of those issues into account.
