An eye-catching hallmark of Chevrolet performance, the El Camino added a low-slung utility bed to attractive styling and the potential for huge power under the hood. This Custom 1968 Chevrolet El Camino sticks to that formula and cranks it up to eleven, the benefit of a frame-off restoration packing a small-block V8 into the engine bay and combining it with a killer stance as well as plenty of new performance goodies. Powered by an angry, numbers-matching 327 C.I. small-block V8 and breathing through an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, this '68 El Camino is ready to burn rubber at the push of the gas pedal. Torque from that Chevy small-block is stomped into the pavement through the use of a 3-speed automatic transmission, complete with an updated B&M shifter which provides for smooth power delivery. Complimenting this truck's aggressive stance is the stunning "Cordovan Maroon" paintjob, gleaming in the sun after being buffed to a brilliant shine. It matches well to the shiny chrome brightwork, and it's laid out superbly over those laser-straight El Camino bodylines. The floors, frame, bed and jambs on this El Camino are all in great shape, and all present well! Opening the twin doors reveals a black vinyl interior that's positively show-quality, featuring a patterned bench seat that's in perfect shape, Malibu trim, and a fantastic blend of vintage and modern aesthetics. Being a custom, this '68 Chevy comes with plenty of options including power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, an aluminum radiator with dual pusher fans, new headers, an AutoMeter aftermarket tachometer, a factory gauge cluster, a radio delete, under-dash aux. gauges, an custom steering wheel, a heater + defroster, dual chrome mirrors, a tinted rear windshield, and a new sweet-sounding MagnaFlow dual exhaust system. The truck rides on a flashy set of 16" aluminum American Racing wheels over slick Goodyear Eagle blackwall tires for a classic, intimidating custom stance. This El Camino runs and drives beautifully, and is something you could go to Lowe's with one minute and then take car show cruising the next. Either choice is a good option, and with this example's stunning custom stance, it's going to put a smile on your face either way. After taking it for a spin, we're sure that this '68 El Camino is made to haul ass.
