Tata Motors may likely bring back the Tata Nano in an electric avatar soon. Reports suggest that the company may utilise Tata Nano’s X3 platform to implement an EV drivetrain.

Ratan Tata’s dream car Tata Nano is one of the cheapest cars launched in India till date. Tata Nano was launched by Tata Motors at such an affordable price to fulfill a middle class Indian family’s dream of owning a car. Just like Ratan Tata, Tata Nano became the Tata Motors identity after its launch and to get the best of the opportunity, a Rs 22 crore Tata Nano was unveiled by the company. Extremely expensive and fully functional unique Tata Nano car was not for sale and was only used as a promotional initiative by Goldplus Jewellery, a part of Tata Group. The Rs 22 crore Goldplus Tata Nano was unveiled by Ratan Tata himself. As the name suggests, the Goldplus Tata Nano was made with gold and silver, and it was studded with precious stones.
The super expensive Tata Nano was billed as the first gold jewellery car in the world. The car’s body was made with 80 kg, 22 carat solid gold and 15 kg silver. It also had several precious stones including diamonds and rubies.
