Boop-oop-a-Broadway! BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical is set to open on Broadway in spring 2025, with exact dates and a venue to be announced.

The show had a critically acclaimed world premiere at the CIBC Theatre in Chicago from November to December 2023. Jasmine Amy Rogers, who starred as Betty Boop in that production, announced the Broadway run during a televised interview with NBC New York. Press representatives later confirmed the transfer to Broadway.com and Broadway News.

BOOP! follows Betty as she takes a break from her celebrity life in black and white and steps into the colorful world of New York City for an adventurous day off. The show features music by David Foster, lyrics by Susan Birkenhead, and a book by Bob Martin, all based on the iconic character created by Max Fleischer. Jerry Mitchell directed and choreographed the Chicago run.

Casting and further creative team for BOOP! on Broadway, including whether Rogers will reprise her performance as Betty, has yet to be announced. The Chicago Sun-Times critic wrote that Rogers "radiates star wattage" in a show that boasts "extraordinary athleticism, precision, grace and sheer show-stoppery."
