Looking for a wisteria that won't take over the garden? Kentucky Wisteria is a US native (south-central) that is extremely hardy, blooms prolifically, and exhibits none of the aggressive tendencies of the Asian wisterias.

'Blue Moon' is truly a prolific bloomer once well established. It first blooms in early-mid June, then again in mid-summer, and again in August. The heavily scented lavender-blue pea-like flowers are held on spectacular foot long racemes. Flowers give way to velvety, purple seed pods which may persist through winter. The twisted vines form an attractive trunk-like stem with time, providing yet another layer of interest to the winter garden.
