Everyone is getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving on Sesame Street and they’re each bringing something to eat. When Rosita doesn’t think her Abuela cooked Thanksgiving food that her friends are familiar with, Big Bird, Alan and Nina explain that everyone has their own family traditions, eating all kinds of food to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Cinderella (Lucy Liu) doesn’t want to open her new shoe store and be a princess anymore but just wants to play but finds it difficult with her fancy shoes. With Rosita's help, she discovers that she can be a princess and play.

Mother Goose tries to write a nursery rhyme for Elmo but she doesn't know anything about him. With help from his friend Abby, Mother Goose is able to write a rhyme about some of the things that make Elmo special.

Abby and Elmo help Rapunzel figure out how to keep her hair from getting in the way so she can be what she really wants to be- a gymnast.

Martians have landed on Sesame Street to find out what Earth people are like. Elmo shows them around and helps them learn that people come in lots of sizes, their skin comes in lots of colors, and people speak lots of languages. The Martians also learn that even though there are many kinds of people, anyone can be friends!

Rudy's favorite sweater doesn't fit him anymore so Nina suggests having a clothing drive in the neighborhood. Everyone can give clothes that they don't need anymore to the people who do need them. Rudy’s sweater goes to a little girl who is very excited to wear it.

The letter M goes missing from everywhere around Sesame Street and it’s up to Nina and the gang to find it.

Chris is missing a sock at the Laundromat, Abby makes more socks appear but none of them match Chris’ sock.

Abby’s family is having dinner over at Elmo’s house. They find out that even though their families do things differently, both families had fun working together to get dinner ready.

Bert can’t fall asleep because Ernie is making too much noise. Bert becomes angry and leaves with his bed in search of quiet place to take a nap. When apart, Bert and Ernie think about what they did and how it made the other feel. They apologize to each other and learn that even though they had a fight, they can still be friends.

There’s a lost kitten on Sesame Street. While Chris and Elmo put up signs to try to find the kitten’s owner, Grover and Cookie Monster help look after it and learn all about how to take care of a kitten.

Gabrielle and Prairie think they can’t dance together because their hair doesn’t move the same way. But Nina helps them realize that it would be cool to just let their hair do what it wants to do. Elmo and Big Bird join their dance and let their fur and feathers do what it wants to do. It makes it more fun when they’re dancing together.

Elmo’s friend Zuzu is visiting Sesame Street all the way from South Africa. He wants to make her feel while she’s there. Alan takes Elmo over to the Book Nook, where Elmo learns all about South Africa from looking in books. He creates a welcome party, with South African food, music and clothing. To celebrate Chinese New Year on Sesame Street, Nina, Elmo, Abby, Grover and Cookie Monster get creative and make their own Chinese dragon costume using all sorts of fun arts and crafts.

Big Bird tells Grover that his pen pal, a friend who he has a lot in common with, is flying to Sesame Street all the way from India. Thinking that Big Bird’s pen pal is a bird just like him, Grover, Elmo, Rosita and Cookie Monster build a big bird feeder to help Big Bird’s pen pal feel welcome. It’s Dance Your Favorite Dance Day on Sesame Street. Nina, who knows lots of dances from around the world, teaches everyone the moves to their favorite dances.

When Cookie Monster is waiting for Chris to finish baking cookies, he eats a tray of carrots and Mario Lopez, a reporter for EXTRA Sesame Street, appears and announces that Cookie Monster is now Veggie Monster. Cookie Monster sings a song about how no matter how much he loves vegetables, he’ll always be who he is – Cookie Monster.

Elmo and Telly are reading a book about insects and learn about ants, ladybugs and butterflies. In an effort to be a butterflies friend, Elmo goes through the 4 stages of metamorphoses.

Everyone on Sesame Street is getting ready to play Shape Hunt. Each team gets a list of shapes and they have to look closely around the street to find them. When both teams have difficulty finding shapes on their list, Julia helps by finding shapes in places no one else thought of.

Elmo and Grover help Floatie the Cloud try finding a job on Sesame Street but Chris helps Floatie realize that she already has a very important job, being a cloud up in the sky, bringing rain to help plants and flowers grow and giving shade to keep everyone cool on hot sunny days.

Big Bird is invited to join the Good Birds Club but when he gets there the president of the club makes fun of him. Big Bird asks Abby to cast a spell to change his appearance in hopes of being accepted into the club. Chris, Abby, Elmo and Big Bird start their own club, the Happy To Be Me Club.

Nina cleans out the bike shop and Oscar wants everything for his trash collection. The Three Pigs Movers figure out how to use wheels to help them move the heavy stuff over to Oscar’s can.
