A 50 year anniversary present for a friend. I rarely knit for anyone outside the family, and this is nerve wrecking… First, I think I did not succeed with rolling edge - it looks different from picture. I think I should have switched the placement of yarns so that they would overlap after every stitch. I am kind of pressed with time, so I decided to knit two mittens at the same time. And did not realize, that the “horse tail” finishing for yarns of rolling edge are now on opposite sides of the mitten, i.e. I should have started the pattern with a mirror image - I just thought it would be enough to remember to put the thumb to another side. Now I am considering just cutting the “horse tail” off and finishing the rolling edge yarns as usual, or making a “fake” horse tail for another mitten. Or just live with this, and hope that my friends appreciates the “handmade feel” :-)

The rest went smoothly. A lot of yarn ends to weave for finishing!
