'Drag Race' Star Peppermint Has a New Music Video and an Upcoming Tour with Jujubee

Not since To Wong Foo have I been so happy to report that some beloved queens are taking a road trip.

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 9 runner-up Peppermint will be going on tour in November with season 3, All Stars 5 and UK vs. the World runner up Jujubee, Them can reveal exclusively. The “Letters Live/Good Juju” tour will hit major cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and New York. The tour will support Peppermint’s latest R&B project, Moment of Weakness: Letters to My Lovers as well as Jujubee’s EP good juju vol. 1.

In anticipation of the upcoming tour, Peppermint has released the video for her new single, “Broken Home,” a duet and ballad that chronicles the end of a loving relationship. “Broken Home” is that moment that you KNOW, it's the beginning of the end,” Peppermint tells Them in a statement. "Maybe if we don't go any further we can at least keep things pleasant.’” The single features Jerome Bell Bastien, a vocalist who was featured on NBC’s The Voice.

The video is a somber black-and-white affair that reflects the emotional candor of the song’s lyrics. “You see the door half open, but I see that door half closed/ This could all fall down here and now but looking through the window no one knows,” Peppermint sings.

“I'm so proud of this music,” Peppermint continued. “I'm happy that I was able to create something that comes directly from the heart and speaks to our community and the issues that affect us, transgender people deserve to experience love and have our story's told publicly. I work hard to create music that would have made the ten-year-old me proud.”

Moment of Weakness: Letters to My Lovers is the second in a trilogy of albums from the Drag Race star, who was also the first trans woman to originate a principal role on Broadway. The album tackles doubts in a relationship and acts as a sequel to her 2020 album A Girl Like Me: Letters to My Lovers, about flirtation, lust, and love.

Dates for the tour are as follows, with tickets available at Peppermint’s website:

Actress Angelica Ross will play Roxie Hart on Broadway.
She will be the first out trans performer in the lead role.
