THIS incredible snap captures the moment the Beast from the East struck London this morning - shrouding the capital in a dense layer of ice and snow.
Londoners stood open-mouthed as the freezing blizzard brought traffic to a standstill and sent the mercury plunging to a Baltic -2c .

The Met Office has now upgraded it's warnings to the "danger to life" zone with snow expected for the next four days.
Forecasters are predicting a further four inches of snow widely across the UK, with up to 15 inches possible for higher grounds in Scotland.
A fresh wave of snow is expected to arrive tonight with London and the South East likely to bear the brunt of it before it moves towards the North and West.
