Big-spending West Ham have made highly-rated Portugal starlet Xande Silva their eighth summer signing - and are not done yet.

The 21-year-old forward has put pen to paper on a three-year deal from Portuguese side Vitoria, subject to international clearance.

The £2million capture takes the Hammers’ spending to over £100m mark so far this summer with boss Manuel Pellegrini revamping his squad.

Silva joins the likes of record signing Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere, Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks, Fabian Balbuena and Lukasz Fabilanksi to arrive ahead of the new season.

Silva said: "It’s a big dream of mine to play here in England. This is a club with a big history, with very good fans and I’m very excited to be here.”

It is understood Pellegrini will unleash Silva on his Under-23s squad while closely monitoring his progress.

And the new West Ham manager, along with director of football Mario Husillos, are not finished with their transfer business.
