We know that you didn’t need another reason to plan a trip to Finland. For starters, the Nordic nation is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its independence this year. And thanks to the fact that it was named the fifth happiest country in the world (perhaps because the Finns highly value drinking at home alone in their underwear?), the country is trending more than ever. But now, Finland has been named the world’s safest nation.

For many a travel-wary person, this accolade likely tops the list of desirable attributes for any destination. And considering the fact that this ranking was bequeathed upon Finland by the veritable World Economic Forum, there’s no reason not to trust the assessment. But the WEF’s 2017 Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report, released a comprehensive list as well. Below, the top 10 safest and most secure countries in the world.

  1. Finland
  2. United Arab Emirates
  3. Iceland
  4. Oman
  5. Hong Kong SAR
  6. Singapore
  7. Norway
  8. Switzerland
  9. Rwanda
  10. Qatar
