The Moomin ABC mugs are decorated with adorable initials featuring various Moomin characters. The L mug features Moominmamma who has decided to live in a cave with Moominpappa. When the kids find them, however, they agree to return home to the Moominhouse. The illustration on the mug’s other side is based on the comic Moomin Family Life. The L mug is part of the “Reading, writing and the Moomins” initiative that promotes the importance of literacy and the joys of reading. The mugs' Moomin alphabet is based on Tove Jansson’s hand-drawn initial capitals and lettering created for the book The Memoirs of Moominpappa as well as her maps of Moominvalley.
